After over 40 years of flying it was time for something new. So Paul – a real pilot – and his wife for 4 years traveled the United States seeking adventure in a 44 foot motor coach called the ‘Black Pearl’. Behind was a 30 foot enclosed trailer that carried their Kitfox SS7 aircraft and Jeep Grand Cherokee Trail Hawk. They have toured the country low and slow over some of the most scenic areas in the world.
Perfect Flight has created the aerial tours for Microsoft Flight Simulator to let you relive the real flight experience. When passing key points of interest we provide over an hour of our real audio narration and real images shot in flight or on the ground and available in the Navlog. Our goal is to deliver an experience that is as close to taking you there as possible.
These aerial tours are designed to be entertaining and informational. Due to unique mode of travel there are no long tedious repositioning flights, only fun. Although we have chosen flight days to avoid bad weather, there will be flight challenges. But the adventures are not designed to be insurmountable.
The missions are focused on seeing the United States from an aerial vantage point that the fidelity of Microsoft Flight Simulator makes possible.
As Paul and his wife traveled the country, a drone was attached to the wing strut of their plane to provide amazing aerial video for most of the routes we recreated.
The Navlog blends images from these videos and adventures from ground level. When mixed with images from MSFS, it can be difficult to tell the difference, adding to the immersion.
This makes a great companion for VR flying. As a bonus, this package provides access to Paul’s website offering hours of spectacular aerial video and images of the actual flights.
