At the end of a tiring day spotting at Skiathos, we had three interesting turnups: Having seen all three helicopters parked near a beach, we saw them a few days later approach and land at Skiathos Airport, one after another! Watch them fly over your head and air-taxi to the apron.
It was particularly interesting to watch two Robinson R66 and one Eurocopter AS355 helicopters fly the approach to Skiathos’ runway 02, descending over the runway then air-taxiing to their parking spot on the apron just like an airplane would. Watch all three helicopters pass over your head on the approach during a calm afternoon at the Second St Maarten.
