10 New Appointments Boost Oman Air’s Marshalling Team at Muscat International AirportThe positions were widely advertised throughout Oman and each vacancy has been taken up by an Omani national, followed by interviews in which candidates were required to demonstrate fluency in both Arabic and English language.
The appointments strengthen Oman Air’s policy of Omanisation, which provides employment and career development opportunities for citizens of the Sultanate and helps to build a sustainable skills base within the country.
After an intensive and successful, two-week training period conducted by Bahrain Airport Authority in line with ICAO international standards, each Marshaller will be responsible for safely guiding aircraft to their allotted bays, using hand signals and fluorescent bats during daylight operations and fluorescent torches at night. Contact with the control tower is maintained by radio throughout the process.
