Air Canada Reports November 2011 Traffic

 For the month of November, Air Canada reported a system load factor of 75.9 per cent, versus 74.8 per cent in November 2010, an increase of 1.1 percentage points. System traffic increased 3.0 per cent on a system-wide capacity increase of 1.4 per cent. Air Canada reports traffic results on a system-wide basis, including regional airlines from which Air Canada purchases capacity. 



“For the month of November, Air Canada reported a system load factor of 75.9 per cent,” said Calin Rovinescu, President and Chief Executive Officer. “Led by increases in traffic in the U.S. transborder and domestic Canada markets of 6.1 and 4.3 per cent, respectively, we generated system wide traffic growth of 3.0 per cent on a capacity increase of 1.4 per cent. This solid result produced in a traditionally slower off-peak month underscores our disciplined capacity management and industry-leading product that continues to earn our customers’ loyalty.
