Italy. “Marconi” Airport: new Bologna-Berlin flight will be available

Coinciding with the opening of the new “Willy Brandt” airport in Berlin-Brandenburg, from June 3 Lufthansa will activate a direct link between the German capital city and Bologna. The new flight Bologna-Berlin will have six frequencies per week and will be operated with the 138-seat by Airbus 319 aircraft.

The carrier decided to include Bologna among the destinations served from Berlin due to the importance of the capital of the Emilia Romagna Region, both from a touristic and a business point of view. Bologna is in fact a dynamic and lively city that reflects the economy of a region full of culture and traditions, but never neglecting the future, which is home to many major companies operating in various sectors.

With the new flight, Lufthansa will offer its passengers more convenient and flexible connections. At the moment, the air company offers comfortable daily frequencies that connect Bologna to Munich’s and Frankfurt’s hubs from where it is possible to proceed on further 198 destinations in 82 countries (Winter 2011/12).

All flights operated will offer Business and Economy Class seats.
