Annual European regional airlines assembly held in Rome

(WAPA) – The annual “ERA” – European regional airlines assembly, being held in Rome, concluded today after three days of meetings and debates with the participation of industry leaders, varying from airlines to manufacturers; the conference was held between September 28 and 30 at the “Marriott” hotel.

Among the various conferences, the president and CEO of ERA Marc Lamidey and the director general Mike Ambrose, presented the work undergone since last year by the committee and yesterday, the prospects of aviation for the next 30 years have been outlined.

Particular focus on the challenges expected to be faced by European operators in the light of various factors, such as those economic and legislative, and other external factors, for example rising fuel prices. The final day was dedicated to new technology, entailing both the issue of security services and ATM (Air Traffic Management), and the aircraft design in compliance with the passengers’ expectations as well as those of the companies.
