CARGOLUX ITALIA Boeing 747-400F – Arrival and Departure at Calgary International Airport!Cargolux is currently Calgary’s only 747 operator, flying in twice a week with a mix of 747-400 and 747-8 Freighters. With the increased amount of global cargo flying due to COVID-19, the Friday evening flight was delayed by over 20 hours, arriving in some beautiful sunset lighting, and leaving a few hours later.

An added bonus is that this aircraft has the Cargolux Italia livery, although the flight was operated under a Cargolux flight number and callsign. Cargolux Italia is a very rare sight here, that combined with the already-uncommon daylight visit makes this a pretty special sight for us! Enjoy this short YYC plane spotting video.
