ANTONOV AN-124 LANDING on the left gear – The brother of the Antonov AN-225 Myria (4K)Last weekend an Antonov An-124 of Volga Dnepr Airlines visited Düsseldorf Airport. The small brother of the Antonov AN-225 Myria operated a charter flight from China via Krasnojarsk in Russia. The registration RA-82077 used to be an aircraft of the former AN124 operator Polet Avia. Polet had to cease operations a few years ago and after that only four An124 operators remained in the world. Volga Dnepr, Antonov Design Burean, 223rd Flight and Maximus.

It` s always a pleasure to watch this heavy jet and it` s even greater if it lands at your home airport. We haven` t seen an AN124 for almost two years and since airplanes became almost extinct at Düsseldorf during these times an AN124 was a nice alternation.
