Canadian International Air Show 2019 Arrivals | Toronto Pearson Int’l

Canadian International Air Show 2019 Arrivals | Toronto Pearson Int’lHello everyone! Welcome to this video! And its that time of year again! Airshow time at Toronto Pearson Int’l! The 70th Anniversary of the Canadian International Air Show is about to get underway.

Starting it off on 27AUG19, we have the RAF Red Arrows’ support aircraft, the Airbus A400M Atlas arriving on RWY 24R in the pouring rain to deliver some technical gear ahead of the Red Arrows’ visit to Toronto who are the main headliners of the show.

On 28AUG19, the RAF Red Arrows arrive at Toronto Pearson Int’l for the first time since 2002 on their 2019 North American Tour. The first two Hawks showed up as RED11 and overflew RWY 24L with a left hand break to land followed by the whole team with the remainder ten Hawks as RED7328 overflying the field for a RWY 24L landing straight from the Niagara Falls flyover.

29AUG19 had the majority of the arrivals come in for the show. In the morning, Snowbirds 10 and 11 arrived into Pearson with a smoke show and landing on RWY 24R. Afterwards, the Waterloo Warbirds’ Mig-15 came in on RWY 23 with three wraps around the ATC Tower after a pure fluke of the fact that we went to Wendy’s, we ended up in the right place. Gord Price and his YAK-50 followed suit on RWY 24L with Brent Handy and his Pitts Special bi-plane. The Beechcraft Expeditor then came in for a show of its own and landed on RWY 24L filling up the media day event. The Royal Canadian Air Cadets with the Bellanca Scout and Schweizer Glider flew over the field just before the entire Snowbirds team of nine CT-114 Tutors followed suit with a flyby of the Tower with full smoke and pitch to land on RWY 24L. The day wrapped up with an arrival from the RCAF CH-146 Griffon as TIGER422 and then later after 1730hrs by LYNX11 as a RCAF CH-148 Cyclone.

Finishing off the week on 30AUG19, the last few arrivals to come in to the show before and after the practice, a RCAF CF-18 Hornet coming in from Bagotville as ALLOUETTE01 and just before 1500hrs, the highlight arrival of the day, three US ANG A-10 Warthog’s arriving on RWY 24R as KILLER01. Enjoy the video everyone! And enjoy the show too! 🙂

Cheers,
Ernest G.
