United Airlines Boeing 747-400 San Francisco Takeoff – Chicago O’Hare Airport LandingCome Fly the Friendly Skies with me as I journey from San Francisco International Airport KSFO / SFO to Chicago O’Hare International Airport KORD / ORD on UAL#620 domestic heavy aircraft service on a Tuesday morning.

Was delivered to UA in October of 1991.
I sat in row 37A and tried to film what I could since my camera was a tad low on battery.
There isn’t much to write home about as for cabin comfort, food, amenities, etc… I had some cranberry juice per usual along with several Stroopwafels, which I found very delicious.
Takeoff was runway 28L and landing was runway 10C
Cruise was at around FL370/FL390 the entire way and I enjoyed the United Channel 9
Air Traffic Control listening channel so I could hear the ATC communications live….
Routing was KSFO TRUKN2 SYRAH Q128 TABLL Q128 EDLES KD51S TEHEV KD54Y HLC STJ IRK SHAIN1 KORD, departed Gate 86 and arrived gate C18. 3 hours, 25 minutes of flight time… Direct distance 1,844 miles.
A smooth flight and one I’ll likely do again sometime hopefully before they retire this Queen of the Skies.
United uses the Boeing 747-400 on routes to San Francisco and Chicago O’Hare International Airport primarily to places like Beijing Capital International Airport ZBAA / PEK, Incheon Seoul International Airport RKSI / ICN and Frankfurt International Airport EDDF / FRA, Shanghai Pudong International Airport ZSPD / PVG, Hong Kong International Airport VHHH/HKG and Tokyo Narita International Airport RJAA / NRT. There is also service San Francisco to Honolulu International Airport depending on the day.
