Lufthansa Retro Boeing 747-8i Landing RWY 05 @ Toronto Pearson Int’l March 4, 2016Hello everyone! I still don’t believe it haha, still don’t believe that this aircraft came, to this minute. This morning, somewhere around 0755 hrs local, I got alerted via a text message that Lufthansa was sending the Boeing 747-8i Retro Livery for today’s flight. I didn’t believe my eyes when I saw it. In the alert post on Facebook I quickly saw the post and then tagged a bunch of spotters so they could see it as well. I swear I so hyped big time I could barely focus lol haha, just killing down the hours till the big bird came.

Well, I got to RWY 05, 25 min before it landed. Out of the 13 Boeing 747-400’s Lufthansa has and 19 Boeing 747-8i’s, the 8i has only been here 3 times but now 4, two times in a month and a week which is a record here! Out of those times, we only have a 5% chance of seeing the Retro, and it makes it all the more rare since it’s an 8i and not a 400. Enjoy the awesome landing on RWY 05 followed by the taxi and I hope you guys do already know that I got the departure too 😀
