FSX – Bristol 175 Britannia Air Spain. Air Spain was a Spanish charter company that operated from 1965 to 1975. Its main base was in Palma de Mallorca, Balearic Islands. It was created by Lieutenant General Rafael Garcia Valino and Northwest Bank. Spain Air filed for bankruptcy in 1975 and its fleet was sold the following year. The Britannia is often regarded as the high point of the design of commercial aircraft powered by turboprops, and proved very popular with passengers, who gave it the name “giant whisperer” by the unusual comfort and silence during flight.
