Tecnam Sierra Touch and Go at Paphos Intl Airport

Tecnam Sierra Touch and Go at Paphos Intl Airport – Sunset – Low Visibility – GoPro Cockpit ViewCyprus isn’t the greatest place for cross-country flying, having only two airports. But here’s the catch: they are both international airports, so you get to land behind a 767 or see a 747 at the holding point waiting for you to land; priceless. This day, traffic was not a problem so I hopped from Larnaca to Paphos in the Tecnam P2002JF, arriving in Paphos about half an hour before sunset. The golden sun is just priceless, however combined with some low clouds and the runway direction of 290 degrees where sunset happens at about 270 gave me a challenging visibility. I turned final being only visual with the extended centreline lights! Anyhow, it turned out to be a nice and smooth touch and go on runway 29, with me departing again to head back to Larnaca shortly after sunset. Watch the approach from the turn to base and ride along as I take a friend to see Paphos airport up close.
