FedEx McDonnell Douglas MD-11F Departure

FedEx McDonnell Douglas MD-11F Departure + Snowy Owl @ Toronto Pearson Int’l March 20, 2015Welcome to spotting on Friday, March 20, 2015! This was the day I uploaded the Antonov Design Bureau Antonov an-124 Ruslan Departure. To refresh the story again, I was told the Antonov was leaving at 4:45pm EDT but some on the Yahoo group said it was leaving at 9:00am EDT so I bussed it out there at 6am EDT, got there at 8am EDT and the aircraft wasn’t going anywhere. What a morning. Anyways, me and my friend Anthony went to the FedEx to catch the departure. Went very successful, caught the push back, engine ignition, taxi and the rocket departure.

Then I finally caught the Snowy Owl. I have been waiting so long to see this bird and I finally caught it. The Snowy Owl populations this year at Pearson were off the charts, many chose to winter here and they picked a good spot because it was a brutally cold winter we had. Many had already seen it but I didn’t get my chance to see it until now. And I saw it at one of the last possible moments since the temperature was getting warmer, soaking up the rays in the run. Big white bird lol, probably a female. Anyways, Enjoy the video and the Snowy Owl!
