CFS Macro – USS Houston – Northampton – class cruiser. CFS Version of a WWII ship. USS Houston (CA-30), nicknamed the “Galloping Ghost of the Java Coast”, was a Northampton-class heavy cruiser of the United States Navy. After Pearl Harbor attack, she joined the American-British-Dutch-Australian (ABDA) naval force at Surabaya, Dutch East-Indias (now Indonesia), viewing acction in Battle of Bali Sea (also known as the Battle of Makassar Strait), Battle of the Java Sea, and was sunk in the Battle of Sunda Strait, 1 March 1942.Other vessels of this class: Northampton, Chester, Louisville, Chicago, Houston, and Augusta.
