Douglas Dc-10 MD-11 And Lockheed Tristar L1011

Douglas Dc-10 MD-11 And Lockheed Tristar L1011Which of these planes do you like more? Write it in the comments. In addition to that please tell me which planes I should compare next. You decide !!

This time you told me to compare the Tri-holers. Someone asked if I could throw in a few 727 clips but I thought the 727 is a little so small to compare it to the L1011, Md11 and Dc-10.

The McDonnell Douglas DC-10 is a three-engine wide-body jet airliner manufactured by McDonnell Douglas. The DC-10 has range for medium- to long-haul flights, capable of carrying a maximum of 380 passengers. It had its first flight in 1970 and the first customer was American Airlines. Currently there are still lots of Dc-10`s (KC10`s) operating, especially for the US. Air Force.

The McDonnell Douglas MD-11 is a three-engine medium- to long-range wide-body jet airliner, manufactured by McDonnell Douglas and, later, by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Based on the DC-10, it features a stretched fuselage, increased wingspan with winglets, refined airfoils on the wing and smaller tailplane, new engines and increased use of composite materials. The Md-11 had its first flight in 1990 and the first customer was Finnair.

The Lockheed L-1011 TriStar, commonly referred to as the L-1011 (pronounced “L-ten-eleven”) or TriStar, is a medium-to-long-range, wide-body trijet airliner. It was the third widebody airliner to enter commercial operations, after the Boeing 747 and the McDonnell Douglas DC-10. The aircraft has a seating capacity of up to 400 passengers and a range of over 4,000 nautical miles (7,410 km). It had its first flight in 1970 and the first customer was Eastern Air Lines.

Thanks for watching, I hope you liked it and please don` t forget to tell me which of these three you liked most.

  • Have not flown all three, just the DC-10 and the L-1011. The DC-10 was with Canadian airlines and the L-1011 was with Air Canada. The interior of the L-1011 was more comfortable but the solidness of the DC-10 sways me to favour the latter.
