Fanhansa “Siegerflieger” Lufthansa Boeing 747 -830 (D-ABYI) – Chicago O’Hare International Airport

Seigerflieger!!! Very pleased that I was able to capture this famous and wonderful aircraft to add to my video collection. “Seigerflieger” means “Winners’ plane” in English. “Yankee-India”, as it is lovingly referred to, is named after the German state capital of Potsdam. This airliner carried the victorious national German Football Team back from the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. GO

The airplane will be painted in this special livery for some time to come (until the 2016 European Football Championship according to the Lufthansa website). The other Fanhansa planes have been returned back to their standard Lufthansa colors.
