Ditching happens when a plane has to make ​​an emergency landing on the water. In this video you can watch ​​an emergency landing in the ocean, filmed with an old Super 8 camera in slow motion. These landings are extremely rare, but they can happen in case of thermal loss. As you can see, the landing was very smoothly and the pilot survived easily, but the aircraft sank after a few minutes in the sea.
