TOP 10 Russian eco-carriers

aviation_newsCarbon dioxide emission is one of the most debatable issues in modern aviation. Many experts believe that this kind of waste is the cause of global warming. Although there are opposing opinions regarding this question. Either way, experts agree on one thing – all of us should reduce our carbon footprint, i.e. the emission of certain amount of CO2 into the atmosphere.

Experts of the travel search engine Aviasales.ru have determined 10 Russian airlines, the activities of which have minimal negative effect on environment.

The three leaders of the list are Aeroflot (66.57 g CO2/km), as well as NordStar airlines (66.94 g CO2/km) and OpenAir airlines (72.50 g/km)

The entire top 10 looks as follows:

1. Aeroflot (66.57 g CO2/km)
2. NordStar (66.94 g CO2/km)
3. OrenAir (72.50 g/km)
4. Yakutia (74.07 гр/км)
5. Ural airlines (74.91 g/km)
6. Kolavia (76.21 g/km)
7. VIM-Avia (83.57 g/km)
8. Transaero (83.65 g/km)
9. Vladivostok Avia (84.22 g/km)
10. S7 (92.17 g/km)

It should be noted, that neither of the Russian airlines were included in the top 10 of the world‘s „cleanest“. The international leader is the Emirates airlines with 52.40 g CO2/km per passenger-kilometer.
