Avjet adds Miami-based BBJ to executive charter fleet

aviation_newsAvjet Corporation announced that it has added an additional Boeing Business Jet (BBJ), based in Miami, to its industry-leading charter fleet.

The company also has a BBJ based in Burbank, Calif., and recently announced it is now the only BBJ operator in the United States approved by the FAA and the Department of Transportation for Part 135 global charter.

“As the only U.S. BBJ operator approved for Part 135 global charter, having two BBJs in our fleet gives us a greater ability to serve our customers coast to coast as well as internationally,” said Mark H. Lefever, Avjet’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “We’re proud to be the industry’s leader in ultra-long range private air travel.”

The Miami-based BBJ seats 16 passengers with four berthable beds that sleep a total of eight people. It has two fully enclosed lavatories with showers, and is equipped with high-speed internet and satellite telephone service. The BBJ also has LCD flat-screen TVs with individual personal seat monitors.The aircraft’s range is over 6,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 550 mph.

The BBJs are part of Avjet’s charter fleet of high-performance, large cabin jets from all major manufacturers including Boeing, Gulfstream, Bombardier and Dassault Falcon.
