Qatar Airways flights affected by the grounding of the 787 Dreamliner
Qatar Airways is to launch passenger flights to Chicago with a reduced schedule from April 10 as well as posponed launch of a new route Doha – Chicago.
Originally planned daily Doha – Chicago route has been reduced to three-times-a-week. A planned daily service will resume from June 15.
Moreover, scheduled route launch between Doha and Chengdu has been postponed to a later date, although it was scheduled to start with three-flights-a-week from March 19.
“We sincerely apologise to our customers for the inconvenience of the capacity adjustments caused by the grounding of the 787s, which is out of our hands.” said Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways CEO.
Qatar Airways has become another carrier to be affected by the grounding of the 787 Dreamliner. In this situation corporate have been forced to adjust capacity on routes as a result of this grounding.
