4aca9be3c320aee48abc36e234a42729ExecuJet Europe announced a further expansion of its presence in the UK at Cambridge Airport. The company will be relocating the majority of its accounting department and information technology team from Zurich to Cambridge in the coming months, taking advantage of the excellent resources and infrastructure ExecuJet has established there over the past year.

ExecuJet successfully transferred its aircraft operations department to Cambridge in 2012 and has also recently relocated the company’s global operations centre to the airport.

Managed fleet expansion

In addition, ExecuJet is adding a range of aircraft to its European managed fleet. These include a Boeing Business Jet, based in Kiev, a Gulfstream G550 based in Luton and a Dassault Falcon 7X based in Moscow. Other aircraft due to join the managed fleet shortly include several Gulfstream G550s and G650s, an additional Dassault Falcon 7X and a Bombardier Global Express.

New Managing Director, Europe

In a separate development, ExecuJet Europe has also announced the appointment of Gerrit Basson as Managing Director. He takes on this role in addition to his responsibilities as Group Chief Operating Officer, succeeding Cedric Migeon who has been in the role for the past four years.

Gerrit Basson said: “I am delighted to be leading ExecuJet Europe as economic confidence in the region continues to recover. Cedric has done a superb job for the past four years and has been a great asset to ExecuJet Aviation Group. After instituting various important changes, this is a natural point for Cedric to develop his career further outside the Group and we wish him continued success. I look forward to building on his achievements and continuing to provide the best service for ExecuJet customers.”

Basson added: “Transferring the additional functions of accounting and IT to Cambridge makes excellent strategic sense now that our global operations centre is also based there. We have been very pleased with our UK operations, which have performed excellently over the past 12 months.”
