ST Engineering announces changes to management team

da6d2d5c2808ff9e5e1431c1a74e206bSingapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) announced senior management changes. Mr Seah Moon Ming has resigned as Deputy CEO and President of Defence Business to join Temasek International Pte Ltd. His resignation will take effect from 1 March 2013.

Mr Lee Fook Sun, currently President of ST Electronics will take on the role of President of Defence Business of the Group. In this position, he will drive the strategic relationship with the Group’s core defence customers. The new appointment will take effect from 1 March 2013.

Mr Seah first joined the Group as General Manager of subsidiary, CET Technologies in July 1994. He rose to become Managing Director of ST Electronics in July 1997, and became its President in December 1997. Between May 2004 and August 2009, he concurrently held the positions of Deputy CEO overseeing the Electronics and Land Systems sectors; and President of International Business. In August 2009, he relinquished his appointment as President of ST Electronics to focus on his role as Deputy CEO to drive the defence business and oversee all the four business sectors.

“For close to 20 years since Moon Ming joined the Group, he has contributed to the growth of the Group and its business sectors, particularly in shaping the strategy of ST Electronics and driving its international expansion during his tenure as President. As Deputy CEO and President of Defence Business, he strengthened the relationship with our defence customers and helped identify and develop new capabilities. On behalf of everyone at ST Engineering, I thank him for the instrumental role he has played in the Group, and wish him well in his new endeavour,” said Mr Tan Pheng Hock, President & CEO, ST Engineering.

“We continue to leverage synergies across the four sectors, underpinned by our electronics capabilities which straddle all the other three business areas, particularly in defence business. I am confident that Fook Sun, having served key positions in ST Electronics, including President of Defence of the sector, will help to strengthen relationships with our key defence customers,” added Mr Tan.

Mr Lee, 56, joined the Group’s Electronics sector in late 2000, and was appointed President of ST Electronics in August 2009. Before that, he was Deputy President of Operations since January 2005. Prior to that, he served as President of Defence and International Business of the sector. Mr Lee’s career history includes serving in MINDEF as Director of Joint Intelligence Directorate.
