AWAS provides widebody and narrowbody solution for long-time customer Aerolíneas Argentinas
AWAS announced an agreement with its long-time customer Aerolíneas Argentinas to extend the lease of an A340-300 widebody to continue to provide reliable longhaul service in the Americas. Additionally AWAS will provide future delivery of a new 737-800 with Boeing Sky Interior from their new order pipeline, the third 737-800 that the lessor will have placed with Aerolíneas. The 737-800 is part of the airline’s on-going fleet modernisation and optimisation programme.
“We are very pleased to grow our relationship with our valued partner AWAS and renew the A340 in our fleet as well as agree to the delivery of an additional 737-800,” said Sergio Garcia Gomez, VP Fleet Planning and Financial Restructuring Aerolíneas Argentinas. “The AWAS team is in a continuous dialogue with us, discussing our fleet planning needs, and how to best assist us to achieve our growth plans. This is yet another positive development for our airline in its plan to become a premier carrier in Latin America.”
