Sabre and Sol del Paraguay Líneas Aéreas sign agreement to boost airline’s sales with agencies

 Sabre Travel Network, a global technology company serving travel agencies and suppliers, has signed a full-content agreement with Sol del Paraguay Líneas Aéreas (www.viajaconsol.com) to distribute all seats and fare information to travel agencies.

 
The agreement focus is to provide further distribution to more than 350,000 travel agencies connected to Sabre Red, with access to Sol del Paraguay Líneas Aéreas’ fares through the global distribution system (GDS). The deal also marks the airline’s entrance to the Sabre marketplace, leveraging the electronic distribution to grow its international business.
 
“This deal is a major step forward for Sabre and Sol del Paraguay Líneas Aéreas as more agencies connected to Sabre will have access to inventory for the first time”, said Luiz Ambar, vice president for Sabre Travel Network in Latin America south region. “Sabre is the world’s most efficient, cost-effective travel marketplace and Sol del Paraguay Líneas Aéreas joins the many global airlines that understand the GDS as an important source of revenue and growth”.

Agents can take advantage of Sol del Paraguay Líneas Aéreas electronic ticketing and real-time seats availability. This allows passengers to book their preferred seat on the aircraft at the time of booking.
 
Sol del Paraguay Líneas Aéreas is a company of Paraguayan share holders. The airline joins a growing list of more than 400 airlines that have chosen the Sabre GDS to sell to travel agencies through an efficient and transparent platform. Sabre recently announced similar agreements with LAN Colombia and TAME from Ecuador.
