WestJet launches new non-stop service to Aruba
WestJet today announced the launch of new, non-stop seasonal service between Toronto and Aruba, Netherlands Antilles. The inaugural flight departs Toronto’s Pearson International Airport at 9 a.m. EDT today.
“Without a doubt, Aruba is one of the most beautiful and culturally fascinating islands in the Caribbean,” said John MacLeod, WestJet Vice-President, Network Management and Alliances. “With an average daily temperature of about 30 degrees, clear skies and cooling trade winds, the climate is perfect for a vacation at any time of the year. Aruba is our 30th sun destination available to Canadians on a non-stop basis from Toronto Pearson – another milestone in the continuing growth of WestJet from Canada’s largest airport.”
“We are excited to celebrate with WestJet today the launch of another great service for our guests,” said Pamela Griffith-Jones, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer for the Greater Toronto Airports Authority. “It’s great to see WestJet continuing to grow its network at Canada’s leading airport and we know that the addition of yet another sun destination from Toronto Pearson will be a great success.”
