Lufthansa selects new advertising agency

Kolle Rebbe from Hamburg wins three-year contract to become new lead agency for global advertising in traditional media / New campaign to come in March 2012

Kolle Rebbe will be the lead agency in charge of creating traditional advertising for Lufthansa from 2012. The Hamburg-based advertiser prevailed in the new tendering of the budget and will enter into a three-year contract with Lufthansa. Lufthansa’s brand strategy is aimed at clearly extending its good visibility as a business travel airline to the private travel segment.

Lufthansa is planning to renew its advertising image through its selected agency and will already launch a new campaign in March next year. The fresh appearance should combine with a new claim to solidify Lufthansa’s leading role in the business travel segment, while also appealing more strongly to private travellers than previously. Lufthansa’s market communication will particularly focus on the private travel segment in the future and effectively highlight the numerous product innovations and improvements in service which await guests of the airline in the new year.

Lufthansa will be the first airline in the world to take delivery of the new Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental at the start of next year. This will also herald the debut of the new Business Class. Frankfurt Airport will open a new terminal for passengers of Lufthansa and its partners in the summer and the German capital’s new Berlin-Brandenburg airport (BER) will commence operations at almost the same time. The foundation stone for a Terminal 2 expansion will be laid in Munich. Both business and private travellers will benefit from these innovations on board and on the ground.
