JetBlue Launches Only Nonstop Service From New York to La Romana, its Fifth Destination in The Dominican Republic

New York’s hometown airline, JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq: JBLU), today is pleased to announce the start of twice-weekly service to La Romana, its fifth destination in the Dominican Republic and its 67th BlueCity. The largest airline in the Dominican Republic takes to the skies between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and La Romana International Airport (LRM) with service on Wednesdays and Saturdays. To mark the airline’s new destination, customers can book sale fares today at jetblue.com/new through December 1 at just $149 each way for Wednesday travel through February, 2012 (a).

To kick off a week-long celebration of new service announcements, today JetBlue Getaways will be giving away five four-day, three-night vacation packages for two including roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations to La Romana (b). Customers can visit jetblue.com/instantwin to receive a virtual scratch off card for their chance to win. Tomorrow through Saturday, customers can also enter for a chance to win one of five vacation packages each day to Liberia, Costa Rica, as well as St. Thomas and St. Croix respectively. Everyone who enters to win will also receive a $50 discount code off a future JetBlue Getaways vacation package.
