New Aircraft added at Historic Airline Group

The Historic Airline Group has added five new aircraft to their European fleet. For British European Airlines (BEA), we have added the Vickers Viking and the DeHavilland DH89 Rapide. These two aircraft serve mainly regional routes within England, Ireland and Scotland, including the Channel Islands. These aircraft mark a significant time period in BEA’s history. The DH89 Rapide was the finest British airliner in the 1930’s, and the Viking served during that important period right after the war.

HAG has also added four new aircraft to Scandinavian Airlines (SAS). Pilots who prefer SAS can now advance beyond the current DC-3 and Convairliner into jets with the Sud Caravelle, Douglas DC8 and Convair 990 Coronado. The Caravelle served mainly local European routes on the continent, while the DC8-33 & DC8-63 served long haul routes to New York Idelwild and Los Angeles. The CV990 Coronado served mainly European and Middle East routes.

The Historic Airline Group now has over 8600 flights to choose from, covering every continent in the world. Wherever your interest lies, we have a classic airline for you! Visit us and see if we are the airline you’ve been looking for. Stay tuned for our first group competition, a timed, long distance, multi-stop flight from Europe to the Far East, coming in September!
