FS2004/FSX Spitfire IXc PV270/ZK-SPI. Brendon Deere’s Mk. IX Spitfire PV270/ZK-SPI is a veteran of service with four different air forces, the RAF, Italian, Israeli and Burmese, and is now living a very active retirement in New Zealand as a living memorial to the owner’s uncle, WW2 fighter ace Air Commodore Alan Christopher “Al” Deere, DSO, OBE, DFC and Bar. She flew again on March 18 2009 after a comprehensive, last nut and bolt restoration lasting five years at Feilding. Special thanks to Brendon Deere for assisting in the creation of this repaint.
