– FS2002 Westland Lysander Mk III


FS2002 Westland Lysander Mk III. The Lysander prototype first flew in June 1936. It was designed for liaison and army cooperation. By 1942, 1425 were produced by Westland and 325 were built in Canada by National Steel Car. The Mk III carried an auxiliary fuel tank which gave it eight hours endurance for clandestine operations. This FS2002 Gmax model is equipped for night flying and is stable and pleasant to fly. By Ted Simko.
