Watching Airplanes In the Rain, Plane Spotting Los Angeles International Airport KLAX/LAXPlane spotting/flighttracking for me, like it is for many dedicated plane spotters, knows very few limits.

In my 20+ years of this hobby, I’ve done it in sub-zero temperatures, in thunderstorms, and at all hours of the day. Here’s some planespotting I did while watching airplanes in the pouring rain…. in Los Angeles!

Yep! Mother Nature tried to reverse the drought Southern California is having all in one day and it happened to be one of the days I picked to go plane spotting last week. But I’m a determined soul and when the love of flight and airplanes burns deep within you it’s hard to be turned away. 😉 😀 Thankfully conditions improved as I stayed throughout the day. Here’s the highlights from a 12-13 hour day of hanging out in front of the famous In-N-Out Burger restaurant just north of Los Angeles International Airport KLAX/LAX, watching airplanes land on runway 24 Right and even one landing 24 Left!

Some of these arrivals have absolutely spectacular condensation and I was very lucky to be able to catch this very dramatic aviation phenomenon for much of the morning/day.
