United Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner

United Airlines Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner at Chicago O’Hare International Airport KORD/ORDThe usual Boeing 777 on the San Francisco International Airport to Chicago O’Hare route was switched out for the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for a couple weeks. Both the -8 & -9 versions of the United Dreamliner do not normally operate to Chicago O’Hare International Airport. I did get a few videos of the -8 version when they first inaugurated commercial service with it back when it was brand-new and they had a few flights between Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport KIAH / IAH and O’Hare Airport. I caught it on Heavy Aircraft Friday! Quite the way to celebrate for me 🙂 I was hoping to get the departure earlier that morning but it took off the runway I wasn’t at (a common problem at O’Hare, it’s hard to spot with so many runways). At least I got this!! Very happy.

Currently United operates these on the Los Angeles International Airport KLAX / LAX to Shanghai Pudong International Airport ZSPD / PVG, Tokyo Narita International Airport RJAA / NRT, Melbourne Tullamarine International Airport YMML / MEL routes as well as from Honolulu International Airport PHNL/HNL to RJAA…
…while Boeing 787-8s fly to Tokyo, Denver International Airport KDEN / DEN, Houston, Murtala Mohammed Lagos International Airport DNMM / LOS, London Heathrow International Airport EGLL/ LHR, San Francisco, Osaka Kansai International Airport RJBB / KIX, Sao Paulo Guaralhos International Airport SBGR / GRU, Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport ZUUU/CTU, etc.

Arrival / Landing as UAL#574 on Runway 28C from San Francisco International Airport KSFO / SFO. It’s been flying between SFO & ORD most of the time with a stop or two in Los Angeles International Airport KLAX / LAX and Seattle Tacoma International Airport KSEA / SEA.
