FS2004 – Pickle Lake CYPL

FS2004 – Pickle Lake CYPL in northern Ontario Canada. This scenery is of Pickle Lake in northern Ontario in 2010, approximately. At that time, and until now in fact, Pickle Lake was the northernmost point in Ontario that could be accessed from the south by an all-weather-year-round road, and as a result it served as the start of an aerial supply route to the small settlements in north Ontario. Most of the settlements could also be accessed by ice roads in the winter, but for only a limited period of the year. The population of Pickle Creek was (and still is) under 500 and the main occupation is the business of transportation to the Northern First Nations, followed by tourism in the wilderness promoted as the “Last Frontier”.
