FSX/P3D – Holybear Scenery Spratlys Pagasa Island

FSX/P3D – Holybear Scenery Spratlys Pagasa Island. Pag-asa Island is the biggest naturally occuring islands in Spratlys. claimed in 1956 and become a formal municipality of the Philippines in 1978. The local residents subsists mainly on fishing and agriculture and share the island with a naval air station. China created artificial islands in the spratlys in 2012 Some very near Pag-asa Island. Under the  United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)only naturally occuring islands generate Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZ). This is the main point of UN tribunal that invalidated China’s over reaching territorial claims in these seas. China continues to assert its claim and is routinely challenged by “freedom of Navigation” sorties of the US Navy, Australian Navy and Japanese navy.
