Well, I can now add a British Airways Airbus A380 to my list of diverted Airbus A380 catches. This is the second time a British Airways Airbus A380 diverted to Toronto, the first being in June of 2014 due to a hydraulic leak, ironically the exact same registration as this one.

This Speedbird Airbus A380 was operating BAW297 from London-Heathrow to Chicago-O’Hare when the flight diverted to Toronto due to a serious medical. The aircraft landed on RWY 23 around 1830hrs and parked at the Hotel Gates where the individual was offloaded. The flight filed out with a 1931hrs departure to Chicago, leaving around 2015hrs off of RWY 24R to a good crowd of spotters.
