INAUGURAL TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT! WestJet 787-9 Dreamliner Takeoff from Calgary AirportAnother big day for Calgary’s hometown airline! WestJet has finally started transatlantic flights operated by their new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, with the introduction of the aircraft on their already-established Calgary to London route this evening.
Calgary to Paris will follow on May 17th, and Calgary to Dublin on June 1st. For their first summer season, all three aircraft will be based in Calgary, with an occasional Toronto flight mixed in with these three transatlantic routes.
