LUFTHANSA AIRBUS 380 at Düsseldorf ?? Heavy Evening Arrivals – A380, B777, A340 …Last friday I went to the airport to film the departure of an Air Seychelles Airbus 330 and shortly before I arrived I noticed a thunderstorm passing Frankfurt Airport. A Lufthansa Airbus 380 diverted due to bad weather in Frankfurt but usually the LH 380` s select Cologne as a diversion airport due to limited parking space on the ground at Düsseldorf. Anyway the A380 requested Düsseldorf as an alternate airport and I just made it in time to film this massive unusual visitor at Düsseldorf Airport. A few minutes later an Emirates Boeing 777 showed up aswell as a diversion from Frankfurt. The Aeroflot Boeing 777 was a scheduled visitor as a cargo charter upgrade from Hongkong (HKG – SVO – DUS).

All in all it was a great and unusual evening at DUS with lots of heavies. Even Etihad upgraded the evening flight to an Airbus 340-600. Thanks for pushing back the second Airbus 380 of Emirates at DUS so that I got a pretty cool taxi scene of bother A380` s at Dus at the same time.
