The first Boeing 747 left the ground in 1969 and recently General Electrics stored its oldest Boeing 747-100 which was still used for engine tests until mid – 2017. Always sad to see a 747 go and the Boeing 747 Classics are almost gone. I am very happy about the fact, that Boeing produced the Boeing 747-8 which will allow us aviation enthusiasts to watch the timeless classic for another 40 years.
