Two U.S. Air force B-1B Lancers assigned to the 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron, taking off from Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, for a 10-hour mission, flying in the vicinity of Kyushu, Japan, the East China Sea, and the Korean Peninsula, June 20, 2017. The normal/routine employment of continuous bomber presence (CBP) missions in the U.S. Pacific Command’s area of responsibility since March 2004 are in accordance with international law and are vital to the principles that are the foundation of the rules-based global operating system.
