Four of my seven flights with Aegean Airlines in my 2015 spotting trip to CFU and JSI were scheduled with the A320. And the two aircraft I was dreaming of flying with were SX-DGU, an ex-Cyprus Airways A320, and SX-DNA, the latest addition to the fleet, featuring sharklets. I still cannot believe that I managed to fly on both!
Enjoy a full flight in SX-DGU, including startup, taxi, takeoff from Larnaca Intl airport, climb, cruise, descent, approach, landing at Thessaloniki Makedonia airport, taxi and shutdown, all filmed in a brilliant wideangle thanks to the power of GoPro. Enjoy the thrill of air travel and fly along with me, as I share with you an incredible and touching experience; since Cyprus Airways closed in 2015, I never believed that I would step inside an aircraft of theirs again and take flight just like I was used to be doing all the time. The all-Cypriot crew and the familiar aircraft and route all made me feel almost like home and brought to the surface many memories from my childhood.
