Rare: Sierra Nevada Corporation AFSOC Dornier 328 Take-off @ Toronto Pearson Int’l March 20, 2016Hello everyone! Here’s something I always wanted to catch! This a Dornier 328 that is owned by the Sierra Nevada Corporation and operates for the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). It was posted in my Facebook Group the day before landing on RWY 05 and parked at the North End. And sure enough, just as I figured, it over nighted. And meanwhile, I was there the next day catching COUGAR 15, the RCAF CF-18 Hornet that was due to depart soon, I heard this guy on Clearance Delivery. I figured his call sign would be HOUND but it was REACH1040 this time. Quite cool to hear a USAF REACH call sign here. Anyways, after getting his Clearance it only took him 20 minutes before he taxied out on Kilo, Juliet and then Juliet 2 with an 8,100 feet of RWY departure. An awesome bird to catch!
