CFS – Scenery Tarawa Ver. 2. The “Tarawa” (Version 2) scenery is an update of my old “Tarawa” scenery, uploaded on 2003. This new version include all island of “Tarawa’s” chain, with new realistic 3D macros, coastal guns, ships of Imperial Japanese Navy, and japanese ground vehicles. The battle for Tarawa was a pivotal event in the Pacific Theater at the end of 1943. The Gilbert Islands were the south easternmost outposts of the Japanese Empire, and Betio Island on the South West corner of Tarawa Atoll had been transformed into the most heavily fortified base, yard-for-yard, of any in the Pacific. The Betio Airfield scenery is roughly historically accurate and shows a highly detailed depiction of airbase and coastal defences, for represent a wartime style of this japanese airfield.
