FSX – RAF Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire
FSX – RAF Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire, England. RAF Sutton Bridge was located just outside of the town from where it takes its name and was used primarily during the summer months as a small temporary airfield close to the Wash were aircrew could practise their gunnery skills during the mid 1920s. With the on-set of WWII the unit became more of a permanent station. The station was used by a few squadrons before returning in effect to its training role when it became No 6 OTU (later No 56 OTU). The airfield remain MOD property until the late 1950s when it finally closed. The land has been returned to agricultural use. This scenery is purely an effort to have an airfield where one once stood.
