RARE DAYTIME LANDING: Cathay Pacific Cargo Boeing 747-8F @ Toronto Pearson Int’l May 22, 2015IN THIS VIDEO: Hello everyone! Today was a great day for spotting! I was finally able to capture the Cathay Pacific Cargo Boeing 747-8F on video with the new Sony Camcorder. Here is how it unfolded: I saw CPA84 from Anchorage to New York around 10:00am EDT in my 2nd period class. Due to my knowledge of CPA Cargo’s schedule I knew they were coming to Toronto next. They filed for 4:13pm EDT from New York so as soon as my school ended around 2:10pm EDT I high tailed it to my house and then to the bus and then to the airport. I was told he’d be on a 1 hour delay but I just managed to see he wasn’t, and at the last second, I switched my bus routes and was able to get to RWY 05, in rush hour with 10 mins to spare. I bolted like lightning. Was able to set up in time to catch the landing right on time. Very fortunate to see it in the daytime since it usually comes at 2:00am EDT in the morning and leaves at 5:00am EDT in the morning. Have to say this bird was awesome, and I got more of it coming. But for now, Enjoy the landing on RWY 05!
