FS2004 – Braking Action Gauge. You are approaching your destination airport; it’s raining or even snowing but in FS9 you don’t have to worry about it, because your brakes will work just like on a dry runway. This is not right! With the BrakingAction Gauges you will have to worry and you will need to take the reduced braking effectiveness during rain, snow or even freezing rain into accountl! Unlike FSX, FS9 does not know the surface condition of a runway. However, it knows whether it’s raining or snowing and whether the temperature is below freezing. So with this the gauges will reduce the braking effectiveness under those conditions to the levels below.
