CFS – Macro – Liberty Ship
CFS – Macro – Liberty Ship. CFS Version of a WWII cargo ship. The Liberty Ship were cargo ships built in the United States during World War II. Though British in conception, they were adapted by the U.S. as they were cheap and quick to build, and came to symbolize U.S. wartime industrial output. These cargo ships wiew action in the Atlantic Battle, North Africa, Europe, and Pacific landings. The first of these was SS Patrick Henry, launched by President Roosevelt, on 27 September 1941. Roosevelt said that this new class of ships would bring liberty to Europe, which gave rise to the name Liberty ship. The Jeremiah O’Brien remains largely in its original condition as museum ships that still put out to sea regularly. In 1994, the O’Brien steamed from San Francisco to England and France for the 50th anniversary of D-Day, the only large ship from the original Overlord fleet to participate in the anniversary. I have created this api macro with Easy Object Designer (EOD), Version 2.0.47 (© Matthias Brückner), to generate a static Tokiwasan Maru cargo ship, used on WWII. The textures are based on pictures availables on the Net, from sorce of Divison Naval Intelligency ONI-208-J.
