Ilyushin IL-76 Departure – Wet Runway + Water Spray

Finally another Ilyushin IL-76TD (with old engines) visited the NATO Air Base in Geilenkirchen again. Although I am aware of the fact that most of you don` t like this plane I have to admit that the IL-76TD is my favorite plane. The sound is simply amazing and very characteristic. I usually just call it “The russian bulldozer” or “Fuel to noise converter”.

Silk Way is a company from Azerbaijan which is based in Baku. They only operate IL-76TD`s and two IL-76TD-90 with new engines.

There is another company called “Silk Way West” which operated a bunch of Boeing 747-400 and -8F and Boeing 767-300 Freighters.
