Air Astana celebrates AAPA membership
The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) has announced that Air Astana has been inducted as a full member of the Association.
Commenting at the IATA Annual General Meeting in Doha, Mr. Andrew Herdman, AAPA Director General said, “We are very pleased to welcome Air Astana as a full member of AAPA. As a dynamic and growing carrier, we welcome Air Astana’s commitment and support in working together with other carriers in the region for the collective benefit of the industry. AAPA will continue to articulate Asia Pacific perspectives on global aviation policy issues, to promote the successful development of the industry.”
Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) The AAPA is the trade association for scheduled international airlines based in the Asia-Pacific region. The AAPA permanent secretariat is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with international representation in Brussels and Washington, D.C. Collectively, the region’s airlines carry 948 million passengers and 18 million tonnes of cargo, representing one-third of global passenger traffic and two-fifths of global air cargo traffic respectively, and thus play a critically important role in the ongoing development of global aviation.
