Aeroflot Ilyushin IL-96-300 Windy Landing at LCLK – Close Plane Spotting – Bouncy

It used to be my favourite aircraft flying in and out of Larnaca. That was until Aeroflot grounded by March 2014! I just had to share with you this amazing landing of an Ilyushin IL96-300 in strong wind, with the aircraft approaching Larnaca’s runway 22 for a Russian style landing! Notice that the power is reduced to idle after touching down, and the way the aircraft tends to pitch nose up, causing the nose gear to bounce. A truly marvelous aircraft and a perfectly executed landing in almost severe conditions.
